The market for real estate in good locations in the Salzburg region is, as always, equally intersting for both buyers and sellers. Although the average real estate prices dropped about 2 percent last year, the preferred residential areas in the city of Salzburg were able to show a slight increase. There is a clear increase in the demand in condominiums above all.

This development is due in part to the current lower mortage lending rates as well as to the tight rental market. Villas with good transportation connections to the city of Salzburg stand in favor, as always. We have not been able to determine a preference of interset between existing properties and new construction among either native Austrian or foreign clients.
