The municipality of Lisbon is divided into 53 parishes. It is bordered on the north by the municipalities of Odivelas Loures, Oeiras west, northwest and southeast with Amadora and the Tagus River and on the other side of the river with Almada, Seixal, Barreiro, Moita, Montijo and Alcochete.
