Welcome to Engel & Völkers in Prague
Prague – the capital city of the Czech Republic – one of the most noteworthy cities of Europe.
Already in the middle ages it was renowned as one of the most beautiful cities of the world. Apart from its special atmosphere, which is hidden in the labyrynth of streets in the historical city centre, its remarkable geographical position contributes to this reputation. The city is situated on both banks of the Molday river and is surrounded by a ring of hills and rises. Which offer unrivalled panoramic views of the intire city – encompassing the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge or the small town roofs with the spires of the local temples and churches.
The biggest treasure is the historical city centre, which was sited as a Wolrd Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992.
Except the historical towns, a range of settlements, villages, and farmhouses dating back to the Early Middle Ages had existed on the territory of today’s Prague. As they were extending they were gradually included into Prague as autonomic quarters of the town. They are mostly surrounded by the green belts opening out the town of Prague to all cardinal points.
Today, the beauty of Prague is admired by visitors from all over the world.
