The property market in Empuriabrava can be divided into five categories. The most expensive objects are villas situated next to the canals which are especially rare and exclusive. Most of the houses in the former fisher village Roses are owned by locals. Therefore, the price development corresponds with the general development in Spain, which means a yearly average of ca. 15% per year. The apartments and urbanisations of the surrounding settlements Pau, Palau Saverdera and especially Santa Margarita are hotspots for tourists spending their vacations. Thus, a particular price specification is not as easy as in Empuriabrava, because of many different kinds of objects concerning locations and sizes.
