In the heart of the medieval old town we welcome our clients since October 2008 in our real estate agency Valbonne, in the pleasant atmosphere of the historic centre of the 16th century, sheltered by its rampart of village houses, conserving its charm and its authenticity until today. The amazing streets are equipped with numerous little restaurants with tables in the street, in the shade provided by historic old houses, pretty fashion shops, antique dealers and interior decoration boutiques and even an English Book Centre. All streets lead down to the Renaissance area “Place des Arcades” Arcades, which invites to a delightful lunch on one of the restaurant terraces under the azure sky of the French Riviera. The original feature of Valbonne is that, unlike most medieval Provencal villages, it was built according to an urban grid pattern (the streets intersect at right angles), dating back to the early 16th century. Though of its historical heritage, most important the Romanesque-Gothic monastery founded in the year 1200, Valbonne is not only a museum, it is a living pretty little town with international public and a balanced extent of main and second residences. Since the beginning of the 70s, at the same time as the nearby Sophia-Antipolis science park has been created, Valbonne has grown tremendously and is today a chic and residential address for the engineers and university people working in Sophia as well as for researchers from all over the world, who purchase villas, country houses, bastides and old Provencal stone mas in Valbonne and the the surrounding areas like Opio, Châteauneuf de Grasse, Le Rouret and Roquefort-les-Pins.
