Engel & Völkers Cork has now become a member of the German Property Experts group established by the German Irish Chamber of Commerce.
Irish investors in residential and commercial property in Germany can avail of the services of a new grouping named German Property Experts (GPE) as of now. It consists of experienced, trustworthy and reputable German property investment experts, which have dedicated themselves to a high quality level. They established strict quality criteria for all companies within the grouping and signed the corresponding declaration of honour. These GPE companies span the spectrum of services related to property investment in Germany from legal, accounting and taxation services to property financing and consultancy.
Interested investors can benefit from a number of services ranging from facilitating contact with the right experts for the respective enquiries, to personalised one-to-one consultancy and a detailed information brochure. Ralf Lissek, CEO of the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce, points out that ‘Irish investors can address all their questions regarding German property investments to the GPE grouping and they will get quick, reliable answers’. A special highlight during 2008 will be target group specific information seminars for commercial and private investors. These will provide an overview on property issues in Germany and special attention will be paid to financing options, taxation affairs and legal information on such topics as the different role of notary and tenant rights in Germany.
The idea for the GPE grouping was created by the German-Irish Chamber of Industry and Commerce following a plethora of enquiries regarding the quality of advice available to potential investors in the marketplace. ‘This is why this grouping with a difference has been created. At the heart of the GPE are first and foremost the investors’ interests’, explains Ralf Lissek. ‘GPE consists of reliable advisers for a reliable market. It is aimed at facilitating the transfer of secure, high quality information and is not about the hard sell.’ ‘All of the members of GPE have been subject to a special Quality Check based on the strict criteria established by the grouping. These credible experts will provide Irish investors with secure and reliable service and a peace of mind when it comes to investing in German property, reducing both the time invested in searching for reliable consultants and the higher risk attached to investing abroad.’
