This 17th-century house consisting of a front and back home was completely restored in 1995 and 2000/2001 in collaboration with Monument conservation society with a new foundation, and was returned in original condition.
The house is perfectly located in the heart of the Jordaan, on the canal with views of the Anne Frank House and the Westerkerk. The 400 m² sized 17th-century canal house with a walled garden is within walking distance of the center of Amsterdam, and near the popular "the 9 streets"; the Dam, the Spui and Central Station are just steps away.
All original wide floorboards and beams have been restored and there are two large 17th-century fireplaces with antique tile panels. Throughout the house many original 19th century style elements have been preserved. Unique are the four great 19th century alcove doors on the bel-etage, which no longer can be found in most Canal houses.
