Lisbon, Portugal's capital and largest city in the country has about 500 thousand inhabitants. Its metropolitan area concentrates 27% of the population and has a GDP per person above the EU average, making it the richest region of Portugal.

The municipality of Lisbon is divided into 53 parishes. It is bordered on the north by the municipalities of Odivelas Loures, Oeiras west, northwest and southeast with Amadora and the Tagus River and on the other side of the river with Almada, Seixal, Barreiro, Moita, Montijo and Alcochete.

Epicenter of discovery from the fifteenth century, the city is the meeting point of diverse cultures from the East Indies, Africa and America.

At night the offer is varied, a dinner with fado live in Bairro Alto can be followed by a performance of opera in San Carlos, or a concert at Coliseu dos Recreios. Its neighborhoods attract visitors for its unique characteristics. Low Pombal, Bethlehem, Chiado and Bairro Alto are areas where thousands of tourists and visitors meet eachother.
