Ray J. Alexander – Broker

Ray comes to Engel & Völkers with over 25 years on hands-on experience and industry-tested success.  In addition to his experience as a successful real estate investor and broker/manager, his abilities are augmented with a broad based business background as an executive manager and consultant.

His real estate investment experience started in Hilton Head, SC as a Broker Sales Executive for ClubCorp of America where he was awarded the top sales achievement award for fractional homes and best closing ratio of sales to appointments (22% - threshold of 10%).  His success was a platform for promotion to Director (Broker-in-Charge) of Sales where sales momentum doubled a top sales team performance by 123%.  By achieving this performance level and reputation, his career quickly evolved into an independent executive sales position with Melrose Development Corp.  Here he was able to blend his sales success with prudent personal investing that yielded significant returns.  Mr. Alexander not only holds the record for selling the most expensive residential property in greater Tampa Bay, but has extensive experience as a developer, entitlement manager, and land acquisition specialist.  He is also well versed in all aspects of REO/Short Sale transactions with extensive background in commercial and development projects ranging from high end luxury homes, affordable housing, multi-family residential, rental management, and commercial projects.

Combined with his property investments and real estate sales achievement, his executive management and consultant experience serves him well in his responsibilities with Engel & Völkers.  From managing start-up companies and product launches to change management consultation, he delivers solid talent and experiential value to Engel & Völkers.  Other contributing skills and experience include creating innovative sales training programs combined with constructive performance metrics, dynamic copywriting for any media or written conveyance, and innovative curricula design for unique web-based online training programs. 

Mr. Alexander has completed post-graduate work for achieving dual Masters Degrees in business and innovation management, and holds a B.S. from Arizona State University where he also participated as a full scholarship athlete (football quarterback).  Licenses and certification includes Florida Real Estate & Mortgage Broker, NASD series 7 & 63, and Private Pilot License.

Lisa Bouck - Office Manager  

Lisa is a licensed real estate agent who brings exceptional organizational and administrative skills to her job. Responsible for all administrative aspects of the business operation, she delivers a high energy capacity and initiative with each routine task or specific action item she undertakes.

Lisa began her work career as an office administrator, and then acquired her real estate license in 1995 where she became one of the leading Buyer agents for Century 21 Advantage in Sarasota until 2000. Her consistent production of two million per year was her baseline objective as a supportive wife and parent of two daughters. From 1998, she and her husband own and operate Bouck Concrete Pumping Inc., a concrete pumping company. Under her charge of all administrative and operational responsibilities, which included dispatched job assignments and job estimating, they achieved revenues in excess of 1.7 million per year with consistent net income attainment of over 500,000 per year.

Bill Brittain

Bill comes to Engel & Völkers with real estate experience in both Florida and Arizona.  Previous to acquiring his license in 1997, Bill was a business owner, a stockbroker and a real estate investor.  An island resident of Anna Maria Island since 2004, Bill understands the local real estate market and lifestyle aspects of the island communities.  Bill is an avid golfer and brings special knowledge to the golfing community all along the central gulf coast.

Bill is a graduate from Arizona State University.  His maturity and comprehensive understanding with all lifestyle aspects of the gulf coast counties serves his clients well.   

Butch Hunt

Hailing from Northern Michigan and Central Ohio, Butch was the founder and CEO of Oceanfront Resorts, a Key West based real estate and property management company. Oceanfront Resorts was involved in the sale of a number of large properties in the Florida Keys including Key West Conch Harbor and Marina, Kawama Yacht Club and Kawama Towers.

Arriving in Sarasota in 2005, and after a couple of false starts, Butch discovered the Engel & Völkers brand and was fascinated by the European based company’s ability to bring in foreign buyers. He signed on and by the end of his second year he ranked in the top 1% of area agents. Gary LaFlamme

Gary’s successful real estate career is buoyed by his diverse background and experience. Not only has he been a successful Florida Realtor for 20 years , his responsibilities included the oversight as a General Manager for 37 retail video stores and a long time entrepreneur for one of the most popular dining and beverage establishments on Longboat Key. With 20 years of real estate experience in the Longboat Key market, Gary delivers a special intimate knowledge of the island communities to any client or prospect he serves.

Tina Rudek

Born in Germany, Tina lived in New York and New Jersey before discovering the greater Sarasota area. Tina began her real estate career with Wedebrock Real Estate Company in 1996. With headquarters based on Longboat Key, Wedebrock Real Estate Company was a pioneer in Real Estate Sales and Rentals since 1950. Tina joined forces with the Wedebrock Sales Team (Wedebrock acquired by Engel & Voelkers Longboat Key Realty in 2009), and is very well versed with the sales and rental market from Sarasota north to Anna Maria island.

Tina Rudek is continuously honored as Top Listing and Top Selling Agent. She was honored as "Highest Producer Company Wide" in 1998 and continues that honor until today. In 2005 she was responsible for the largest sale in Wedebrock's 55 year history. She is a seasoned professional. As a former top producer with Wedebrock Real Estate Co. and long time resident of Florida, Tina's extensive experience and knowledge of the greater Sarasota real estate market serves her and her clients well.  Her integrity, perseverance and her positive energy is demonstrated with every client she serves.  Serving both the residential and commercial market, she consistently performs even through market downturns.

Gina Brulato

Gina is a long time resident of the island and is extremely familiar with the local market.  Her family invested on the North end of Anna Maria back in the late 70s so she has witnessed incredible growth on the island. She is an honors graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. She worked in advertising in NY for over 13 years including 2 years at Arts & Entertainment Network in Manhattan. Her advertising and marketing experience has been invaluable to her clients in marketing real estate.

Her love of the sea that drew her to the island prompted her to work in marketing and development for Mote Marine Laboratory for 3 years.  She has spent countless hours in the tanks rehabilitating sick whales and dolphins at Mote’s Dolphin and Whale Hospital.  She is also actively involved with the entertainment industry and has worked on several feature films.

Carolyn Spencer

Carolyn’s successful real estate career is buoyed by her diverse background and experience. Not only has she been a Realtor for 10 years in both Tennessee and Florida, she has also been an elementary school teacher, retailer, entrepreneur, and marketing/public relations executive. Her broad based experience specifically included start up businesses as a Baskin Robbins franchisee and development of a Learning Center within a Healthcare Education & Information Systems enterprise. She was also in charge of marketing and public relations for Stadium Jumping Inc., which involved the production of World Cup of Show Horse Jumping. 

Carolyn is married with two grown children and comes to Engel & Völkers as a BS Education graduate from the University of Illinois. She is active in the League of Women Voters in both Florida and Tennessee.

Gary Nawatny

Gary’s successful 35 year real estate career began in Michigan where he was a perennial Multi-Million Dollar Club Member and Distinguished Sales Award Winner within his market area.  Gary attributes his success by providing superior service to his clients which has proven to be his best source of new business.  He demonstrates an unwavering commitment to excellence and attention to detail, and is ready to extend this working philosophy within the island communities.  Gary also has a varied background in management and customer relations. 

Gary is married with two grown children and comes to Engel & Völkers as a graduate from Western Michigan University with a degree in Political Science. 


James Patterson

James came to Engel & Völkers from Atlanta, Georgia where he worked as real estate specialist for Starbuck’s Coffee Company.  There he had the primary responsibility for site analysis and selection for Starbuck retail locations throughout Starbuck’s southeast region.  James also demonstrated a strong ability to facilitate successful sales by providing outstanding service as a relocation coordinator for Graebel Relocation Service and as a Leasing Consultant for The Hanover Company.  His attention to detail and proactive approach to ensure his clients experience only a seamless and successful transaction has served him well. 

Raised on Anna Maria Island, James also is extremely knowledgeable of the island communities.  He delivers a special intimate knowledge of the island communities to any client or prospect he serves.

James is a graduate from Appalachian State University with a BA in Communications.  He is also a licensed real estate agent in Georgia. 

Linda Dickson

Formerly a resident of the Washington DC metropolitan area, Linda Dickson relocated to the resort island of Anna Maria Island and was quickly besotted with its charm and history. Engel & Völkers made its timely appearance on Anna Maria Island at exactly the right moment for Linda. The company’s distinctive concierge level of service and global connections made signing with E & V an easy decision.  Linda’s experience includes earning a BA double major concentration in History and Spanish, later complimented by a Paralegal Certificate, and 30 years experience managing Real Estate Investments, rental properties, Operations Manager of Island Mortgage Services and past ownership of a title company.

Vicki Gilbert

Vicki relocated to Anna Maria Island from Philadelphia, PA in 2002 where after 17 yrs in the financial service industry she had retired from First Union National Bank as VP of Marketing and Sales. By May of that year she had her real estate license and began a career in what was to be one of the most exciting eras in Real Estate Sales.

Her marketing experience offers clients the skill and expertise on how to market a property. She clearly understands the value of contacts within the community, the absolute importance of customer service, and responsiveness to clients needs through communication that is both clear and done in a timely manner. This has been the cornerstone of her successful career both past and present.
