Village of WellingtonThe Village of Wellington, one of the most successfully crafted communities in Palm Beach County, has become the premier South Florida community known for its abundant parks, quality schools, attractive neighborhoods and equestrian interests.
Palm Beach County offers a multitude of cultural attractions such as classical concerts, live theater, opera and ballet. Venues include the Royal Poinciana Playhouse, Delray Beach Playhouse, Watson B. Duncan Theater, Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center, Florida Ballet and the Palm Beach Opera. The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach provides some of the finest professional cultural productions anywhere in South Florida, while the Cruzan Amphitheatre draws big-name pop, rock and country performers.
Equestrian
Wellington is world-famous for equestrian and polo events. The Village of Wellington has 57 miles of Equestrian Trails System. This trail system provides residents with opportunities for recreation, exercise and transportation through the community. The trails are designed for multiple uses such as running, biking, inline skating, pedestrian and equestrian activities. The International Polo Club is renowned for its first class Polo events, attracting the finest players and teams from all over the world.
Culture
The Village of Wellington has a large, recently renovated public library, a recreation center, a number of public parks and ball fields, and hosts seasonal events such as the annual Top Gun model aircraft show and holiday parades. There are a number of entertainment and cultural venues – such as the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and the Norton Museum of Art – in nearby West Palm Beach. The South Florida Fairgrounds is home of the South Florida Fair and Exposition, an annual 17-day event held in late January. Lion Country Safari, located on Southern Boulevard near Wellington, is one of the oldest and most popular tourist attractions in the county, offering close-up views of wild animals from other continents.
Schools
A large number of recent Wellington residents are families with young children. All of the elementary schools and middle schools within its boundaries are currently A-rated by the Florida Department of Education. There are two high schools in Wellington – Wellington Community High School, which is A-rated, and Palm Beach Central High School, which is also B-rated. The Palm Beach County school system allows students to attend magnet schools outside of the village if they so wish, though students are nominally assigned to schools in their own area.

Colleges
Palm Beach Community College has proposed a Wellington campus. The Wellington town council voted affirmatively on 13 August 2008 to enter negotiations with the college. Plans are to complete the new campus in 2010.
