Dam is fast becoming the Riviera of choice for sea and beach starved
Gauteng, situated only 20 minutes from Pretoria via the new Platinum
Highway, 30 minutes from Fourways Mall, and 45 minute from the well
known Sun City/Lost City. Location is one of the areas greatest natural
advantages. The Heritage Route starts at the dam, going north to the
Pilanesberg National Park and on to the Madikwe Game Reserve in the
north.
The area features its own cable way to the top of the Magaliesberg Mountain and some of the best game reserves and game farms. A well known Snake and Reptile Park, an Aquarium, the De Wildt Cheetah Centre as well as an Elephant Park are also situated very close by. Also of interest is the Crocodile Ramble, an arts and craft route with day visitor and overnight facilities. The new Engel & Völkers shop, serving the constant influx of leisure and investment seekers is excellently located in the new Sediba Plaza Centre on the eastern side of Hartbeespoort Dam.
