Indissolubly linked to art, Venice hides precious treasures around every corner. Today, before reaching our apartment, an intriguing encounter awaits us: the Teatro Malibran. We feel immersed in history as we approach this imposing building, knowing that it stands where Marco Polo's residence once was, an invisible link to distant eras. Just a few steps from the Malibran, we cross alleys that also seem eager to tell stories of people and things. Our eyes rest on the architectural elements typical of the Venetian-Byzantine period, an echo of the 11th and 12th centuries, the same period in which the famous traveler lived. We climb comfortable stairs and, crossing the threshold, we are surprised by the light that floods the environment. The large windows allow generous light to enter, and the high ceilings give the space breathing room, making it airy and welcoming. Our open space reveals itself to be harmonious, with a complete kitchen ideal for convivial evenings, a comfortable dining area, and a relaxation corner. We also notice a small, discreet, and functional space designed for a work corner. The bedroom, finally, is an oasis of peace where the lively chatter of the city seems to magically vanish. The windowed bathroom and a large entrance complete the property, ready to be lived in immediately. This property surprised us: we consider it an ideal opportunity both as a residence in the bustling heart of Venice and as an elegant pied-à-terre for romantic getaways. The modern finishes, air conditioning, and spaces carefully designed by an architect give us a sense of harmony and functionality.
