Uhlheim Castle was built by the family of Josef Ritter von Uhl in 1865 in the style of historicism. On the castle grounds, which are mostly hidden from view, there are company buildings next to the castle. The castle with its tower-like corner buildings and the front accentuated by a triangular gable is divided into a stately vaulted cellar, a first floor, a representative living/upper floor with two terraces and a raw attic. The entire property measures approx. 7.5 hectares and is partially dedicated as an industrial area. In the course of a cautious revitalization, the castle building is to be freed from subsequent additions and extensions and returned to its original configuration and expanded with moderate contemporary additional space. The functional concept outlined in a study is aimed at use as a residential property with community and recreational facilities. Typically, the present elaboration would be suitable as a family residence even in several generations. Three spacious apartments with a total of eight bedrooms as well as a servants' apartment will be realized. A barrier-free development by means of passenger elevator is obligatory.
