Description

In 2014, the architects Wilkin & Hanrath had a visionary idea: They planned to transform the space above a 1960s parking garage at the corner of Magnusstraße/Alte Wallgasse into three luxurious residential floors. This innovative idea became a reality in 2017, resulting in 31 exclusive condominiums. The extraordinary penthouse presented here was created by combining two apartments during the construction phase and spans the entire sixth floor. With a generous living area of approximately 310 m² on one level, this property offers the highest living comfort, emphasized by first-class and modern amenities. A private elevator with a key-controlled priority circuit takes you directly from your own parking deck to the apartment's entrance. To the left, an impressive living area opens up, combining living room, dining room, and kitchen on an area of just under 100 m². A centrally placed, gas-powered panoramic fireplace creates a visual separation and a cozy atmosphere. The modern kitchen with a Bora cooking island directly adjoins the dining area, which offers space for a large table. The living room is complemented by one of the two balconies, which is oriented southwest and offers a wide view over the rooftops of Cologne. To the right of the entrance, a wide, light-filled hallway—accentuated by elegant light strips—leads to the private living area. This includes a guest room with its own en suite bathroom, a spacious bedroom, a room currently used as a studio, and a second balcony. The master bedroom provides access to a dressing room with custom-made built-in wardrobes and a luxurious bathroom. The master en suite bathroom impresses with large tiles, a rain shower, two sinks, a free-standing acrylic bathtub, and a glazed Finnish sauna. Due to its size, the bathroom can also be used as a fitness area. Additionally, the penthouse offers the possibility of creating a private roof garden on the apartment's rooftop. Official permission for the expansion has already been granted, allowing for design according to individual preferences. The floor plan and high-quality interior with numerous custom-made details were designed and implemented by the renowned Cologne architect Klaus Müller. The apartment also includes four garage parking spaces in the in-house parking deck "Magnus31".
