Via Timavo is located in the Abbadesse district, formerly an agricultural area that still retains the charm of that era, with some of the oldest farmsteads in the area, including the Cassina di Pomm, Mirabella and Maggiolina. The area is rich in public and private services, including three major schools: the Salesian Fathers’ Institute with its renowned Auditorium, the Suore Maria Consolatrice Institute, and the Canadian School of Milan. The area is commercially vibrant, with a wide choice of shops and major hotels that make the neighborhood lively. In recent years this part of the city has undergone a major urban regeneration project following the development of Porta Nuova, which has enhanced Milan’s skyline and the neighborhood’s quality of life, extending beyond Via Melchiorre Gioia the dynamism of the Isola district. The complex is close to San Pio X Hospital and to several main traffic arteries in northern Milan, a short walk from the Sondrio stop on the MM3 metro line and the Zara stop on the MM5 metro line, as well as numerous surface transport lines.
