Mas Mel is one of the most highly regarded residential areas of Calafell, made up mainly of houses and villas with gardens and swimming pools. It stands out for its proximity to the sea and for offering a quiet, well-kept and elegant setting. It is just a 5–10 minute walk from the beach and the seafront promenade. Calafell, located in the Baix Penedès region, in the heart of the Costa Daurada (Costa Dorada), is a municipality with genuine Mediterranean charm. It has a rich historical heritage and is renowned for its more than five kilometres of golden-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, awarded the Blue Flag. The town has a fully equipped marina, with berths for boats up to 24 metres in length, ideal for sailing enthusiasts. In addition, Calafell holds the Family Tourism certification granted by the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya), which guarantees a wide range of accommodation, dining and activities tailored to families. It is also part of the Active Tourism municipalities club, offering organised activities such as hiking, Nordic walking or mountain biking (MTB) with qualified guides. In the immediate area you will find all the services needed for day-to-day life: supermarkets, pharmacies, medical centres, a library, gyms, multiplex cinemas and a varied gastronomic offer. As for transport links, the area has excellent access to public transport, with a train station and bus lines that connect conveniently with Barcelona (approximately 50 minutes to Barcelona Sants), as well as with Vilanova i la Geltrú (10 minutes) and Sitges (17 minutes). By road, it offers fast connections both along the coast and inland, via routes such as the AP-7, C-32 or N-340. It is 30 minutes from Tarragona, 55 minutes from Barcelona, 30 minutes from Sitges and around 35 minutes from the airport.
