is a City of about 62.314 inhabitant, which is located just at the north of the “massís del Garraf”.
Further it is the last town on the coast before the region of Garraf and very famous for its long beach that spread over 4.8 kilometers.
Castelldefels is a perfect place to live. It offers you many activities, events, a friendly social life, cultural visits (the castle, the Romanesque chapel, the watchtowers…), sporting pursuits (the Olympic Canal, sailing schools, catamaran trips…) and a lot more.
- Castillo: Situated on a hill, it was built in the tenth century. Currently serves as an exhibition.
- Canal Olímpico: Was built to hold competitions of speed in calm waters during the Olympic Games 1992. Today you can pursuitvarious kinds of sports there.

The beach of Castelldefels is a long strip of fine sand 18 km south of Barcelona. It possesses two different ecological systems. On one side you have the delta of the River Llobregat, with wetlands and reedbeds. And on the other side you have the limestone uplands of Garraf.
The beach itselfis equipped with showers, rubbish bins, wooden walkways down to the sand, children’s play grounds, toilers, lifeguard towers, etc. and measures 4.8 kilometers in length, with an average width of 90 meters.
Castelldefels Beach offers many possibilities to indulge in watersports, suntan, take a dip in the calm Mediterranean Sea or go for a walk.
This is a small part of Castelldefels, which is located in the hills and is attached right to the natural parc of Garraf.
It is a very quiet residential area that offers you a lot of privacy.
Further more you can enjoy amazing mountain and seaviews.
Even though it is located in the hills you can reach the beach and the marina, which is only used for leisure activities, within a few minutes.

Castelldefels can be accessed through the following channels: autopista C-32, autovía C-31 y la C-245.
The train “line 2” stops two times in Castelldefels: Castelldefels and Platja de Castelldefels (Beach).

Castelldefels is a fantastic town for sports enthusiasts. It has been awarded the DTE (Destinació Turística Esportiva, or Sporting Tourism Destination) title by the Catalan Tourism Agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
