Information about Barcelona

In terms of population, Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is the second-largest city in Spain.

Located in the north-east of Spain, it is surrounded by the Serra de Collserola and two rivers (the Besòs and the Llobregat). It is less than 150km from the Pyrenees.

As a result of its location on the shores of the Mediterranean, Barcelona has a warm climate and enjoys pleasant temperatures all year round. One of its attractions is its beautiful beaches, where people can swim for most of the year as a result of its Mediterranean climate.
