The Pearl

The Pearl is an artificial island encompassing 400 hectares of reclaimed land just off the shore of the Arabian Peninsula. Lusail City – A Distinctive 21st Century Iconic City

Lusail City, located on the east coast of Qatar, aims to be one of the world’s leading mixed-use developments. The city encompasses a 37 square kilometer waterfront land that is mater planned into 19 mixed-use districts. It does not only offer new residential, commercial, hospitality and retail facilities, but also various community needs like schools, medical facilities, entertainment, sport, cultural facilities and shopping centers. Furthermore, it will accommodate approximately 200,000 residents


Msheireb Downtown

The joint venture Carillion plc and Qatar Building Company have been appointed to carry out and complete all the substructure and superstructure works of Phase 1B. It will consist of 15 buildings, 2 office buildings with 52 retail units and 12 residential buildings supplying 180 apartments.

CQBC is to deliver the project to the highest environmental design standards. Msheireb Properties aims for a “Platinum to Gold” rating under the LEED Green Building Rating System of the U.S. Greeen Building Council.

Construction works on the 31 hectare site began last January 2010 and is to be completed by phase, scheduled for 2012 through 2016. Phase 1A comprises of Diwan Amiri Quarter, Heritage buildings and Amenity & Infrastructure. Phase 2 and 4 are a mixed use development across 10 and 12 buildings respectively. Phase 3 mainly consists of 14 buildings.

The $5.5 billion worth project is set to be the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project. With the aim of encapsulating the themes of education, culture, the past and the future, Msheireb Downtown will feature traditional Qatari heritage and aesthetics with modern technology, and perfectly align sustainability and harmony with the environment.
