Aimé Dogo, Coordinator and Project Manager of the E&V Charity primary school in Togo, paid a visit to E&V company headquarters in Hamburg on 23 June. He reported on the status quo of the building work being carried out on the second school building, and was available to answer any questions people had. Amongst those listening to the report was Thilo von Trotha, Member of the Board of Engel & Völkers AG.
“We had hoped that we would have been able to open the second school building much earlier. Due to weeks of rainfall however, all the work has been delayed. Now the building finally has a roof on it. Everything will be completed in time for the beginning of the coming school year in September”, said Dogo enthusiastically. “In Togo it is normal for a school class to have around 100 pupils in it. In the ‘L´école privée Engel & Völkers’ there are just 20 children per class. The primary school project is a superb opportunity for schoolchildren. So we are very pleased that even more children will soon be able to benefit from this chance.”
Aimé Dogo travels to Agbetiko at least once a month to check personally on the progress being made. He reported as follows: “The construction team is made up of trained craftsmen and volunteers from the village. Around 45 people are employed on the building site every day, working tirelessly towards completion. So it is not only the children but also the village community that benefits.”
The E&V Charity is always grateful to receive donations:
