Mary-Ann and Morne Vorster

Engel & Völkers Southern Africa has successfully expanded their footprint by recently signing the Western Cape Northern Suburbs/Durbanville license. It is with great excitement and anticipation that we welcome Morne and Mary-Ann Vorster as new Licence Partners to the Engel & Völkers family. Their enthusiasm, drive for excellence and passion is what drew them to our brand.  Their business acumen, quality assurance and service orientated drive is an indication of great things to come from their licence region. With both Morne and Mary-Ann having a background in retail and owning retail franchises for over 12 years, it will be their day to day involvement in the business which will make them successful. “We have always had a passion for property whether it was buying our own home or being involved in property developments. That drive and enthusiasm has always been there”, says Mary-Ann when asked what was their reason for wanting to invest in the property industry. “We live what we dream and we have always been interested in the industry, it was an easy choice to make” added Morne.

Morne and Mary-Ann are currently based in Potchefstroom, and they purchased their first property through our branch in Potchefstroom, they were pleasantly surprised by the level of service, the quality of professionalism as well as friendly manner in which they were treated by our Property Sales Advisor, Theo Volschenk. “After living in Potchefstroom for some time, we picked up a copy of the National Guide to Real Estate and decided to contact Craig Hutchison to discuss a potential franchise opportunity” said Mary-Ann.

“Having Licence Partners joining our brand who have such a strong background in both corporate management and retail, coupled with their passion for the industry, service and excellence, they will prove to be a strong team with sound management skills” added Craig Hutchison, CEO of Engel & Völkers Southern Africa.

E&V Southern Africa welcomes the new License Partners

Riaan van Deventer, Head of Real Estate Operations, Engel & Völkers Southern Africa, will be working in close liaison with the new Licence Partners in order to help them find premises for their shop front, identify key target areas in the Northern Suburbs and to assist in the recruitment drive of quality property sales advisors in the area. “To compliment the business philosophy of both Morne and Mary-Ann, we need to recruit individuals with the same sense of passion and dedication to the superior and excellent brand of Engel & Völkers”, said Riaan.

Many people consider Cape Town to be what the Western Cape entails.  However, at the foot of Table Mountain, there are areas which are both beautiful and culturally rich. Located along the N1 road, properties in the Northern Suburbs offer buyers and home owner’s access to the city, whilst still offering them the suburban, laid back lifestyle of the country.

With top notch amenities such as schools, shopping centres and hospitals as well as multiple leisure and entertainment facilities located in the area, young professionals and home buyers with families will easily find their ideal suburb in which to own a Northern Suburbs property. The properties and suburbs within the Northern Suburbs vary greatly from area to area which means that every buyer can be accommodated and have the pleasure of having their wide variety of property needs being met. Many residents choose Northern Suburbs properties to take advantage of the large and affordable properties as well as the slower pace of life and sense of community.

Morne added, “Our business philosophy is all about brand recognition and quality. Not only are we concerned with the quality of service delivery, but with making our clients happy. We believe that with client satisfaction being a top priority, the business tends to look after itself,” he concluded. “Ensuring that our staff members are happy and that our values are passed onto them is what we strive for. To sum it up, we want to be excellent at what is good”, added Mary-Ann.
