Introduction to Caine Road

Caine Road, named after the founder of the Hong Kong police force and Hong Kong’s first magistrate, William Caine is a main arterial thoroughfare of the Western Mid-Levels area of Hong Kong. Located halfway between SOHO and Robinson Road, Caine Road, in fact, causes a pause within Hong Kong’s landmark Central Mid-Levels Escalator system, which provides easy reach to this lively street and beyond. 

A mixed-use street, Caine Road is home to many upscale residential apartment complexes in addition to chic restaurants, cafes, gourmet stores, schools, religious and historic sites. The street is zoned for the Kennedy School (Primary) and Island School (Secondary) of the ESF network and it also hosts excellent schools and colleges like the Woodlands Montessori Academy, the Sacred Heart Canossian School (and college of commerce) and St Margaret’s college. Further, the Canossa Hospital on Old Peak Road is also within easy reach.
