PGA Catalunya Resort will host the Open de España golf 2014, which will take place between 15th and 18th of May.
This tournament is part of the PGA European Tour International Schedule, The Open de España is the only European Tour event in Spain in 2014, returning to the country’s number one ranked golf course, this will be the third time that the Stadium Course at the PGA Catalunya Resort hosts the Open de España, after the 2000 and 2009 editions.

The calssification also rated the venue as #3 in Continental Europe and #92 in revised World Top 100 classification.

The third time Spanish Open venue, and European Tour Destination, has also been ranked #3 in the Continental European list and has risen six places to #92 in the website’s World Top 100 ratings, one of only two Spanish courses featured this year.
A tour Course of great beauty
Of great beauty, the Stadium Course is characterized by its difficulty, with lots of trees and water along its course, par 72 and 6.706 m. Long play, suitable for good hitters, the precision is however a virtue absolutely necessary to address every one of their holes, emphasizing the abundance of lakes and water surrounding the Greens. PGA Catalunya Resort carried out a series of improvements in the field, such as the construction of seven new championship tees and the woodland of some areas of the field last year.
