Real Estate giant Engel & Völkers sold 48,5% more in Spain in 2013

Engel & Völkers, the German real estate giant specialized in high standing properties, managed the buying and selling of 603 properties in Spain over the last year. These operations add up to 435million euro, 48,5% more than the amount recorded for 2012, according to the company.

 

The average price for the properties managed by the firm last year was around 719.759 euro. These data translate into an 11.6% increase compared to the previous year.

 

Engel & Völkers managed 435 rentals too, with an average monthly rent of 2.496 euros. This price marks a rise of 11.3% compared to 2012.

 

Engel & Völkers opened twelve new shops in Spain over the last year, mainly in Madrid and Barcelona and sold 14 licences. These new shops will be opening in the next few months.

 

The Managing Director of the company in Spain, David Scheffler, considers that these data show the acceptance that the company enjoyed at the beginning of 2013. He remarked that the company´s target market “headed in a different direction in the best locations of the highest segment of the residential market”

 

Worldwide, Engel & Völkers increased its benefits an 18.2% taking them to 271.9milion euro, a 35 year record according to the history of the company.
