Engel & Völkers, one of the world’s leading service companies for the brokerage of premium residential property, commercial real estate and yachts, hosted the first international Engel & Völkers Networking Event on 8 April 2015 in Dubai. More than 300 guests attended the event and used the occasion to make valuable new contacts. Engel & Völkers Co-CEOs Christian Völkers and Sven Odia joined the event and exchanged ideas with longstanding property professionals and industry newcomers. “We are delighted that so many people responded to our invitation. The event turned out to be a great success,” said César Latrilla, Managing Director of the Engel & Völkers Metropolitan Market Center (MMC) in Dubai.
Transfer of relevant market knowledge
With the aim to bridge the gap between peer-to-peer networking in an informal atmosphere and the transfer of market-relevant knowledge, Engel & Völkers invited Ahmet Kayhan as keynote speaker. The Founder & CEO of Reidin, one of the leading real estate information companies, gave an interesting insight into Dubai’s property market and transaction trends. In addition, Sanjay Manchanda, CEO of Nakheel, provided information about the joint venture agreement with Engel & Völkers, whilst David Scheffler, COO of Engel & Völkers MMC International, gave a presentation about the Engel & Völkers brand. After these talks and presentations, guests had the opportunity to network and enjoy finger food and drinks.
Engel & Völkers is offering career opportunities for 250 sales advisors
Most of the attendants were prospective candidates who were keen to find out about the Engel & Völkers brand and the career opportunities that its new Metropolitan Market Center concept has to offer in the Arabian metropolis. The Engel & Völkers MMC is a joint venture between the globally operational service company Engel & Völkers and the Dubai-based real estate developer Nakheel. Both real estate companies are utilising this strategic partnership in pursuit of the same goal: to achieve a high market share in the brokerage of premium residential property in the Arab Emirate in the shortest time possible. The high rate of anticipated growth also entails a very high need for qualified employees. A total of 250 sales advisors are due to be recruited for the Engel & Völkers MMC in Dubai by the end of 2015.
