Fun on the day!

The 99er started as a fund raising event for one of the local Durbanville schools, El Shaddai Christian School, in 1999. The inaugural event was 99km long, hence the name 99′er. The 2015 event was the 17th year the event was held and included various distances for road cycling as well as a mountain bike event. The 108km road race is also an Official Premier Seeding event for the Cape Town Cycle tour, previously known as the “Argus”. Over 350 volunteers from parents at the school, teachers, students and alumni were involved to make the day a truly memorable one.

Fun day 2 Fun day 1 Start of kiddies raceE&V Durbanville & Surrounds were involved in the prize giving ceremony for all race winners and also had the privilege of staging and sponsoring the first ever kiddies fun ride over a distance of 3km. It was a huge success and a fun day out for the family and our pleasure to add value to the day with the inclusion of the kiddies race. The fun ride attracted close on 80 entries and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
