The Wall Street Journal and the consultancy firm Real Trends published their annual ranking at the beginning of July, in which the best were named and honoured from more than one million American real estate professionals.

The national ranking now consists of six categories in total. The other five are: “Individuals by Transaction Sides”, “Individuals by Average Price”, “Teams by Sales Volume”, “Teams by Transaction Sides” and “Teams by Average Price”. The 250 best US agents and companies are named every year for each category. Real Trends collates the data for the ranking, amongst other sources, from the regional trade bodies that make up the “National Association of Realtors”. In addition, all data must be corroborated by documentary evidence from revenue tools or tax records.
