Engel & Völkers Charity: Ninon Völkers visits Togo

In September, Ninon Völkers, President of the E&V Charity e.V., spent a week in Togo with pupils at the “L´école privée Engel & Völkers”.

She used her visit as an opportunity to think about the children’s prospects further into the future, together with the school’s Headmaster Robert Nyagbe and other project team members including her mother Ingrid von Aalst. “In around two years from now, the first children will be completing their education in our primary school. In most cases it is still absolutely uncertain what they are going to do afterwards however,” said Ninon Völkers.

Initial plans for a secondary school, for example specialising in agriculture, have now been discussed at greater length. Further details and plans now have to be developed. In addition, Ninon Völkers was informed about the next construction project – a canteen for the school. Work on the building is due to begin in the near future.
