Have you ever been to the famous flea market held on Saturdays in Puerto Banús, all along the street leading up to the bullring? This is actually a MUST when coming to #MARBELLAPUERTOBANUS. During its opening hours from 9.00 to 14.00 h there is a plethora of things to find, like nice souvenirs, costume jewellery, local handicrafts, spices, hats & bags, shoes, typical leather articles, copperware, art, lovely clothes etc. etc. at incredibly good prices. Needless to say that all the marketeers are prepared and happy with clients bargaining for their goods, it´s actually part of the fun. On top of the hill you will reach the commercial center Centro Plaza with its large parking lot presenting more market stalls and while walking through the commercial center you have many opportunities to take that well-deserved break in one of the many cafés and restaurants that cater to most every taste (Thai, Swedish, International, Japanese, American-Tex-Mex etc.).
When the market has finished, it is also a beautiful idea to sit in one of the wonderful chiringuitos along the beach in Puerto Banús, with your feet in the sand, a relaxing view to the Mediterranean Sea and enjoying a nice chilled white wine, beer, or the summer drinks Tinto de Verano or Sangría. And while you are there, why not have a refreshing dip into the sea and in the evening a stroll along the glitzy marina of Puerto Banus with its designer shops, yachts, restaurants and bars. This way you will enjoy all the pleasures that Puerto Banus offers.
How to get there: As the streets are usually clogged from early morning, it is rather advisable to go b public transport. There are several busses taking you to Puerto Banús from Marbella, Estepona or San Pedro, either stopping next to the Corte Inglés department store right in the center of Puerto Banús or on the motorway, right at the bottom of the street passing by the bullring. If you prefer to come by car, it is advisable to park in Puerto Banus, e.g. in the carpark underneath the central Antonio Banderas Square.
