With Engel & Völkers to success? The success story of the Market Center (MC) in Madrid, that newly opened in September, has already begun! In less than six months, the team recruited a total of 116 new sales advisors. We talked with Managing Director Paloma Pérez Bravo about the road to success.
How did you manage to recruite so many candidates in such a short period of time?
“We held two ‘Recruiting Days’, with a view to receiving as many applications as possible within a short space of time. Out of 1,500 CVs received, we then selected the best candidates and arranged one-on-one interviews with them. Beyond, our employees identify with the company and are therefore very motivated to secure jobs for friends and acquaintances at Engel & Völkers. We have already found many suitable candidates this way.
What is so special about Madrid?
Madrid is ranked in 10th place amongst the most interesting European locations for property investments. Last year, the ratio of international search clients in Madrid rose by around 30 percent, and we are anticipating this figure to rise even further in the future. With the new MC, our aim is to achieve an optimum exploitation of the market very quickly and efficiently.
How are the advisors working?
Each advisor works within a predefined sub-region of Madrid. This way we will achieve a fast rate of growth. Our objective is to provide advisors with the best possible service platform. With this aim in mind we have separate departments e.g. for Human Resources, Marketing and IT.
Where is the Market Center located?
The MC Madrid is located in the heart of Madrid, on “Calle de Génova”, in the district of Chamberí. Alongside Barcelona, New York, Bogotá, Vienna and Malta, E&V has now successfully implemented its Market Center concept in the Spanish capital Madrid.
