Engel & Völkers competes in the Paris Marathon for a good cause

The 41st Paris Marathon took place on 9 April this year. It is one of the largest marathons in the world alongside New York, London, Berlin and Chicago. Around 41,700 people took up the challenge of running in this year’s Paris Marathon, among them 30 running enthusiasts from the Engel & Völkers network. They took to the starting line for a good cause, namely the Engel & Völkers Charity. The Engel & Völkers Market Center Paris  donated 10 euros to the non-profit charity for every kilometre completed per Engel & Völkers participant. In total, almost 11,000 euros was raised as a result for the Engel & Völkers Charity.

The Engel & Völkers Charity

Almost ten years ago, the Engel & Völkers Charity initiated a primary school project in Togo, West Africa. Thanks to generous donations, two school buildings and a school canteen have already been built. The proceeds raised from the Paris Marathon will go directly to the construction of a secondary school. After finishing primary school it is intended that the children can continue on to the next stage in their education. At the planned “College Agro Pastoral” they will have the opportunity to gain a leaving qualification in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.
