Home of tech billionaire Vinny Smith now on the market for 30 million US dollars

The tech billionaire and former Chairman of “Quest Software” Vinny Smith is selling his ranch near Park City in the US state of Utah – for an asking price of 30 million US dollars (approx. 25.3 million euros). “The special thing about this property is its location directly on the Weber River,” said Paul Benson, Managing Partner of Engel & Völkers in Park City.

Current Utah legislation forbids the building of any property directly alongside a river nowadays. Yet the developer erected this house on a site where an older property had previously stood. But it is not just its riverside location that makes it so unique. The river was redirected in such a way that it flows around the property and its currents can be observed from every room.

The ranch spans some 780 hectares in total and presides over amenities including a helicopter landing pad, a tennis court, private spa, and several fireplaces . In addition to the approx. 1,560 square metre main house, there is also an event venue where a wide variety of different occasions can be held. The surrounding region is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as hunting, fishing and hiking.
