Ice skating, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and sledding trips from the Götzner Alm round out the offerings. In the 13th century, Vellenberg Fortress stood in the municipal area, a significant structure that was destroyed by an earthquake in the 17th century. Remains can still be seen today. The Götzens sanatorium is now a center for medicine and physiotherapy.
