San Lorenzo (Sant Llorenç des Cardassar) is a typical Mallorcan pueblo in the northeast of Mallorca. The weekly market takes place on Thursdays in the traditional market square. The small town is lively year-round with small shops, restaurants and cafés, while Manacor, Mallorca’s second-largest city and home to the renowned Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy with an international school, as well as the popular medieval artists’ town of Artà, can each be reached in just 10–15 minutes by car. The wide sandy beaches of Cala Millor and Sa Coma are also only about 15 minutes away. Golf enthusiasts enjoy the four excellent golf courses in the immediate area—but the surrounding countryside around San Lorenzo is also wonderful for hiking or cycling. Palma de Mallorca International Airport (PMI) can be reached in just under 40 minutes by car.
