The 12-kilometre long Marasi Business Bay Promenade from Dubai Properties is set to open next month. The Promenade will feature a cluster of high-end retail and entertainment options. It is itself part of the wider Dh1 billion mixed-use development that will also host Dubai’s first “water-homes”, fully anchored in the water and with access via boats as well as walkways. Apart from the water-homes, Marasi will have three themed areas: The Marina (Yacht Club), The Park and The Pier which will be completed in phases up to 2023. Phase 1, comprising The Marina and The Park, is expected to be delivered in Q4 2017.Marasi however will not just be about water features: the project will have direct connectivity to the main transport arteries that are Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road. In the near future, RTA will also provide boat taxi services to connect the area to Jumeirah.
The Park will have 16 parks with water features as well as a dedicated events space with an amphitheater, outdoor cinema, interactive furniture and weekly markets.
The Marina at Marasi will have 5 marinas with 1,250 berths alongside more than 100 floating retail and F&B outlets, an assortment of onshore boutique shopping and leisure and entertainment facilities.
The project is set to become one of the major tourist hubs of the Emirate once completed. It will add real value to Business Bay and help propel it from merely a developing business district into retail, leisure and hospitality hotspot.
From an investment point of view, the completion of Marasi could potentially generate a double digit jump in capital appreciation for properties in the area
