Yesterday, the Global Conference Cityscape was the prologue to the two-day exhibition which is taking place in Dubai World Trade Centre.
There were 3 sessions: a market overview, an Architecture and Real Estate Brokers session. I attended the latter and during that session we had the privilege to have keynotes from several experts in the field, some insights about the market and an expert panel discussion.
First was Reidin’s CEO Ahmet Kayhan who gave us an overview on the UAE Property Landscape for 2017.For those who are not familiar with Reidin, it is a real estate information company focusing on emerging markets. The company provides real estate analysis and research support.
According to Kayhan, there are signs that the market correction that has started back in 2014 is coming to an end to make way for an upward trend within the next few months. He also gave us some insights on the impact of Oil on Dubai and the UAE in general
Then came on stage Ann Boothello, Product Marketing Manager at Dubizzle. She talked about the millennials(people born between the 80’s and mid 90’s) and how to cater their property needs. She presented a survey with findings that were quite surprising.
The afternoon ended with a presentation of Andrew Burgess, Middle East Director at Tint, on how to better employ social media as a Real Estate Broker.
Those three speakers have truly given us insights on the current state of the market but also on how to reach clients in more relevant ways.
Now Cityscape has begun and all the big names in the industry are here with their latest projects.
We, Engel & Völkers, have also a stand in the exhibition and we hope to see you there
