Surprise Cinema has launched last week in Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. The concept is an open air cinema screening surprise films which means you won't know what you'll be watching until the last minute. The only clue given is the movie genre. However these will be mainstream and Hollywood blockbusters.
As it is in a park, viewers are allowed to bring blankets and camping chairs to really get that picnic feeling going.
The event takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 11th April and 19th May. All movies are rated PG-13 and children below that age won't be allowed in.
In terms of food & beverage, there is a selection of food trucks that will serve all the film food favourites such as popcorn, hotdogs, nachos and others.
General admission costs between AED 40 and AED 50 and as we are in Dubai, there are also VIP tickets between AED 120 and AED 150.
For the moviegoers, there is the option to buy weekly passes priced at AED 150 for the general admission and AED 500 for the VIP ticket.
