About Me and My Role
I am originally from a rugged but beautiful northern county of England known as Yorkshire. It is the home of Cricket-Football and Stainless Steel, music hero's Joe Cocker, Human League, and Deaf Leopard and the "Game of Thrones" star Sean Bean to mention only a few.
I have 3 children that still live in England and between them they manage to keep me very grounded and very much aware of family values, as well as out of pocket expenses.
Back in England I moved into management at an early age and I developed a service training organization that was liked to the British manpower services commission for over 10 years, we were supplying training to many sectors of the service industries with over 250 students per year, with a 93% employment record when they completed the courses. I was also a joint owner of a group of stores in the beauty market operating in South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire.
I moved to Dubai in 2007 as the real estate market was about to peak and quickly realized that this area has far more to offer than first meets the eye, with History, Culture and a thirst to be a financial hub for the world. Dubai really does have it all.
Although most of my working career has been within the service industry of one sort or another, and the skills I acquired has transferred perfectly into the world of Real Estate. Mentoring and training of team members has now become part of my every day tasks, and this ensures continued success and development within the areas of Dubai under my control. During my time in Dubai my negotiation and communication skills have allowed me to broker some of the prestigious transaction in and around the Dubai market.
I have always been attached to a branded product, such as L'Oreal and Clynol where I was giving demonstrations and product presentation to large audience's throughout Europe, many others followed and now onto large Real Estate brands in the Middle East, this has now lead to me being involved in the evolvement of Engel & Völkers/Dubai. Exciting times all the way.
All in all, life is good.
