The municipality Nassereith is located at the foot of the Fern Pass, on the route from the Fern Pass to Imst (former Via Claudia Augusta). Nestled in one of the most species-rich valleys in Austria - the beautiful Gurgltal in the Tyrolean Oberland, Nassereith attracts nature lovers from near and far.
A wonderful mountain scenery invites hikers and especially climbing enthusiasts to excursions in the area. In summer, there are many great climbing routes in the Climbers Paradise or even divers will get their money's worth. The Fernsteinsee with the ruin Siegmundsburg is idyllically situated at 934 meters above sea level and is one of the 100 most beautiful diving areas in the world. Other excursion destinations such as the Muthenaualm or the nature park Afrigal with the Spirkewäldern are just as well good reasons to spend your time in Nassereith. In winter, staying in Nassereith by cross-country skiing, tobogganing on the 1.6-kilometer Dormitz toboggan run or skiing and snowboarding in the nearby ski resort Imst to the experience. In the community itself there are also two smaller ski lifts, which sweeten the vacation in winter especially for beginners. Climbing is also possible in winter in the Eldorado of mountain sports.
