Seefeld in Tyrol is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck Land, Tyrol. It is located on a high plateau (1.245 m) between the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountain ranges on a historic road from Mittenwald to Innsbruck which has been important since the Middle Ages. Seefeld has been one of the most popular winter sports centres in Tyrol ever since the 1930s. The municipality has hosted the Winter Olympics on several occasions.
