When a Spaniard looks for the smallest possible openings to limit the heat, a Belgian will, on the contrary, look for large openings to enjoy the most beautiful view possible of the surroundings.
Belgian buyers are mainly turning to the Costa Blanca; this is where 31% of properties purchased in 2018 are concentrated. After the Costa Blanca, the Costa del Sol is the most popular destination with 18% of transactions. The prices are not unrelated to this choice; when you know that a small new villa sells about 450,000 euros on the Costa del Sol while it will cost only 350,000 euros on the Costa Blanca, the explanation is simple.
What other reason could explain this Belgian rush to Spain? According to a Bloomberg survey referring to figures from the World Health Organization, the WHO, it seems that Spain is the healthiest country in the world. Italy has long held this place.
