Gstaad prepares for the Swiss Open 2015 and its 100th anniversary

The Swiss Open celebrates its 100th anniversary with a special programm, which mixes the history with the current winner of Roland Garros and thereby clear favorite to win the tournament, Stan Wawrinka. In exacty 36 days, the tennis elite will meet at the Swiss Open Gstaad. The registration period has expired and the tournament organizers present the list of players, including four of top-30 players: this year's French Open champion, Stan Wawrinka leads the field. Among others, we will have a pleasure to watch: Feliciano Lopez, the rising stars David Goffin, and Dominic Thiem or Gstaad - winners Pablo Andujar and Thomaz Bellucci. The tournament motto is: “Today’s champions" challenged by unknown "stars of tomorrow”. In addition to the current ball artists also renowned former stars will honour the tournament at the Center Court: legends Ilie Nastase, Roy Emerson, Wojtek Fibak, Alex Corretja or Heinz Günthardt and Marc Rosset will offer a special tennis show on Sunday 26th July. In the photo exhibition on the Promenade, but also in the Tournament Village throughout the week, all visitors will have a chance to experience a journey through the time of the past 100 years of Gstaad's tennis tournament. The grand final of the jubilee tournament is on Sunday the 2nd of August, the aerobatic team of the Swiss Air Force and the Patrouille Suisse, will draw their formations in the Gstaad’s sky.
