This beautiful attic apartment with a living space of approximately 135 sqm is located in Ferden, the first village in Lötschental’s valley and thus the gateway to what is probably the most authentic valley in the Alps. It has an unobstructed view in three directions and is only 3 minutes by car from the valley station to the ski area of Lauchernalp and about 10 minutes by car to the car transport Goppenstein. The apartment entrance is on the 3rd floor. The interior staircase leads to the spacious hallway on the 4th floor, from where all rooms and the kitchen can be reached. The elevator leads directly into the apartment. The exposed roof truss with a lot of light-coloured wood provides a comfortable and airy living feeling in all rooms. The bright living area opens to the south with its large windows offering a view of the unspoilt mountain landscape of Lötschental. A traditional Giltstein stove with a cosy stove bench is a wonderful source of heat in winter and a beautiful eye-catcher in summer. The large south-facing balcony can be reached from the living area as well as from the parents' bedroom. An open passage with round arch leads from the hallway into the kitchen with dining area and small balcony. The apartment has two bedrooms. The master bedroom is equipped with bathroom en-suite and dressing room. For the smaller bedroom there is also a bathroom with shower and an additional loft. There are two additional storage rooms, one of which serves as a utility room with washing machine and has access to the third balcony with a magnificent view of the valley. The apartment also has a separate cellar compartment, one garage with parking lot in front, an additional room furnished as a carnotzet, as well as a laundry room, a sauna and a ski and bike room for shared use. The courtyard with lawn can also be shared. The apartment can be used as a first or second home.


Haut-Valais: Location and surroundings of this property

The municipality of Ferden is at 1,400 metres above sea level and is the second largest municipality in Lötschental. The valley between the Valais Alps and the Bernese Alps is embedded in an imposing mountain backdrop. From Bern you can reach Lötschental via the Kandersteg-Goppenstein car transport in approx. 1.5 hours or from Italy via the Iselle-Brig car transport in approx. 1 hour. The largely unspoilt valley invites you to a nature-oriented holiday away from the major tourist centres and is the starting point for countless mountain tours in a fantastic landscape. 200 kilometres of hiking trails lead through the valley belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. In summer, Lötschental is a place for hikers to relax and enjoy nature. In winter, the Lauchernalp winter sports paradise, with its excellent infrastructure, sunny and extremely snow-sure, offers 55 km of slopes up to 3111 metres above sea level as well as a racy freeride area. The glacier funicular leads up to the Hockenhorn ridge (3111 m.a.s.l.) and at the same time opens a winter hiking trail at an altitude of over 3000 metres with panoramic views of more than 40 sparkling four-thousand-metre peaks. For cross-country skiers and winter hikers, Lötschental offers around 50 km of winter hiking trails, as well as 24 km of classic and skating trails.
