Gordola: Location and surroundings of this property

Gordola is located in Locarnese, at the exit of the Verzasca Valley on the left side of the river and borders both Lake Maggiore and the reservoir Lago di Vogorno. The famous James Bond Golden Eye Bungy Jump is located on its dam wall. The village, with just under 4,500 inhabitants, has several old village centres, which are located at the foot of the mountains. From the southern slope of the mountains, where many newer buildings and the church are located, one enjoys a beautiful view over the Magadino plain, the lake and the surrounding mountain peaks. The municipality is well served by public transport; both by train and bus. By car, the city centre of Locarno is about 15 minutes away and the centre of Bellinzona about 20 minutes.
