The opening of the Market Center (MC) in the centre of Valencia marks the next stage of expansion for Engel & Völkers in Spain. From this central service platform, prestigious residential property will be brokered throughout the entire metropolitan region. Around 40 advisors are already dedicated to the sale and rental of premium residential property. Another 35 agents are scheduled to join the team by the end of 2015. “The MC concept has proved extremely successful in Barcelona and Madrid. We want to apply everything from this superb track record and expand on our market position in Valencia too,” said Miguel Ángel Cantos, Managing Director of the Engel & Völkers Market Center in Valencia.
The MC Valencia occupies some 200 square metres of office space on the Gran Vía Marqués del Turia. The brokerage region of Engel & Völkers encompasses the very best addresses in Valencia. This includes the districts of Ciutat Vella, Eixample, Gran Vía and Costa de Valencia.
The Engel & Völkers Group is growing rapidly at present. Worldwide, it is looking to recruit 2,000 employees in total by the end of 2015. “The global Engel & Völkers network with over 500 locations gives our advisors access to an international pool of prospective buyers,” said Miguel Ángel Cantos.
Growing interest in luxury homes from international buyers
The premium residential property market in Valencia has enormous potential and is attracting large numbers of buyers from abroad. “Strong investment interest from foreign clients is centred around Switzerland, France, Belgium, Russia, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico and China,” said Miguel Ángel Cantos. Demand from domestic buyers is also on the rise though. In the last year alone, the transaction volume for all properties brokered on the Valencian market amounted approx. 1 billion euros, with some 5,000 transactions.
