A quarter of a century of innovative training - but what does that actually mean? Every year, around 3,000 participants are trained in face-to-face and live online training in six languages, including German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
In addition, this year saw a sharp increase in the expanded webinar offering - with over 9,000 registrations, the number of participants increased by 125% this year. In addition, almost twice as many individual training sessions were booked as in the previous year.
The popular range of face-to-face training courses for our Real Estate Agents, Licence Partners, Office Manager and Team Assistants was completely digitalised within just four weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, the Academy can continue to support the network in the best possible way, even during this difficult time.
But how did it all actually start?
The Academy was founded in 1995 and has since offered all members of the Engel & Völkers network a comprehensive range of training and further education opportunities.
The Academy aims to Licence Partners, Real Estate Agents and Team Assistants and Engel & Völkers employees to success as quickly as possible. The unique Engel & Völkers sales strategy, extensive specialist knowledge and core values of the company are taught. In addition, an internal diagnostic tool from the Academy is used to identify and promote the competencies and development potential of the individual participants.
The program ranges from standard training sessions to webinars, online courses and personalised individual training courses. Due to the global situation in 2020, the conventional training formats were very successfully expanded to include live online training that came closest to the original face-to-face training.
With comprehensive knowledge of the E&V core values and the specially tailored training programme, the Academy trainers offer the basis for optimal training of the participants. The Academy receives additional support from internal and external speakers who share their specialist knowledge exclusively in expert seminars and answer questions.
An experienced team of twelve employees provide the organisational background, ensure an overarching learning strategy and continuously improve the learning technologies, methods and knowledge offerings. Natascha Israel, Global Head of Academy, leads the team. E-learning covers the entire range of digital training courses - from planning and creation to implementation and analysis. Furthermore, all tasks relating to the Learning Management System belong to this area. The international "Academy Management” is responsible for the smooth organisation and delivery of online and face-to-face training, as well as supporting the attendees and trainers.
