MARIE MITTE

Old building with modern appeal

Built around 1890, this apartment building certainly fulfils the wishes of those who love old buildings with its charming appearance. Thanks to its good condition, it easily stands out among the many Wilhelminian style buildings of the Marienstraße. The facade on the street side was extensively renovated in 1992 - all stucco elements were worked out in detail. The courtyard side and the side wings were given a new plaster façade. During the last fresh-up in 2007, the entire ensemble was repainted and the windows were repaired and replaced. Stucco elements, paintings and wall decorations from days gone by also decorate the entrance areas.

City home with western sun

The secret of this property, is located a good distance behind the façade: a park-like garden with a playground and barbecue area that is available for all residents. The side wing, which has been supplemented with a new building, is reached via the courtyard. The large and modern lift in staircase 4 then leads to the two condominiums on offer on the fourth floor and attic.

Ten One One Seven Berlin-Mitte

10117. This postcode simply says it all: a premium location in the centre of the capital between the banks of the Spree, the Bundesstag, Friedrichstraße and the world-famous Charité Campus. Right in the middle: Marienstraße, blessed with old buildings. A real insider tip among Berliners when it comes to Mitte's finest residential addresses. But that's not all - with its length of almost 300 metres, it also holds a record: it is the only street in Berlin that is almost completely preserved.

A stone's throw to the Bundesstag

It is quite difficult to point out the special features and highlights of this neighbourhood. There are simply too many. And it's not just quantity and quality that score points in terms of culinary delights, art or culture - all the beautiful offerings can also be reached by foot. And if you prefer to be driven, all you have to do is reach the nearby Friedrichstraße or Hauptbahnhof stations. From here, trams, regional trains, suburban trains and underground trains will take you to every corner of the city - and beyond.
