Just like every year, the Barcelona Montjüic Fair will host a new edition of the International Comic Show. Unlike the previous years, the 35th edition of this competition, which is the most important event nationally and internationally, will be held a month earlier between Thursday 30th March and Sunday 2nd April.
This 35th edition of the Barcelona International Comic Fair is presented as the most ambitious of all that have been held so far. This is indicated by the expansion of its premises, which will occupy 50,000 sqm. This is an increase of 10 per cent over the previous year.
Just like the previous citations, this edition is called the Comic Hall or Salón del Cómic, which is a large representation of authors, libraries, publishers, different associations professional groups, film and television producers, and video game companies.
As the main theme of the 35th Salon del Comic and graphic display of the official poster of the contest, designed by Jaime Calderón, the presence of aviation plays an important part. To commemorate the genre, an exhibition will be held with real aircraft belonging to different eras and a series of activities related to the theme.
Other activities that are most attractive in this edition will be the commemorative exhibition of the emblematic TBO magazine, in which 100 original issues will be exhibited and a review will be made for the work of many of its authors with a special section dedicated to Josep Maria Blanco, who was the winner of the Grand Prize granted by the Salon during the 2016 edition.
