Engel & Völkers in Barcelona celebrated another year of Sant Jordi Day. Our property shops in the city welcomed different activities throughout the day, including some contests that attracted a great deal of attention. In these "competitions" both our employees and all the estate agents who contribute to better position our brand in the city were able to participate. Customers could also take part if they so wished.
What were the contests all about? One of the competitions was open to anyone who came to our property shops while the other was created for our staff only. The first one was directly aimed at children, one of the main protagonists of the day. The youngest who were aged between 3 and 11 years, were called to make a drawing with the tradition of Sant Jordi as a theme. Needless to say, dragons, princesses and books were very present in the excellent drawings that arrived at our offices. For example, the children of the staff members of Engel & Völkers in Barcelona took this contest very seriously indeed.
It was not easy choosing the three best drawings as they were all unique family experiences (which the winner could give more details about, if they deem it appropriate). The winner of the best drawing was Maité Adda Paz, the little treasure of our colleagues, Jorge Adda and Mayreling Paz, the estate agents for the Baix Llobregat region. It is not necessary to point out this family's strong bond with our brand. We hope that all three of them enjoy their more than deserved prize.
The second contest was aimed specifically at seniors and professionals who are part of Engel & Völkers in Barcelona. The theme of the contest was to write a short five-line flower-related poem, thus contributing to celebrate another of the great traditions of Sant Jordi Day. It should be noted that those of us who had the opportunity to read the poems that arrived at the office were surprised by the number and quality of the poems. Finally, the winners were Mauricio Peláez (estate agent from Gracia) and Montse Félix (Data Management Assistant). In any case, we would like to thank the whole family of Engel & Völkers in Barcelona for the effort they made in this contest.
