With the arrival of spring and its pleasant temperatures, we are filled with the desire to do new tasks with energy and enthusiasm. Taking care of our garden and planting flowers, painting a pending piece of furniture, reading a good book in the sun, playing sports outdoors, going out for lunch or dinner in a good restaurant or spending time with family and friends around a barbecue are some of the activities that spring offers us.
Without a doubt, it is the most colorful season of the year and today at Engel & Völkers Costa Brava Sud, we want to recommend the 8 creative activities that spring has to offer on the Costa Brava.
The Marimurtra Botanical Garden in Blanes is the work of a German, Carl Faust (Hadamar, Germany 1874-Blanes 1952), in love with science, nature and the Costa Brava. Faust established a patronage to which he entrusted the responsibility of maintaining his botanical garden and the continuity of his scientific work. The Foundation is associated with the Institució Catalana d'Història Natural and the Spanish Society for Plant Conservation Biology.
In 2009, she was distinguished with the Creu de Sant Jordi from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
You can enjoy panoramic views, some of the most spectacular on the Costa Brava, and discover more than four thousand plant species, most of them exotic, as well as many extraordinary specimens due to their age or size. The collections of palm tree, aloes, cicadas and cacti, among others, stand out.
Throughout the year, it offers a program of activities opens to the public and private events such as photo sessions with reports on weddings, communions, baptisms, family photographs, wedding celebrations, etc.
